Just got back from an advanced screening with my wife. Best action movie since the first John Wick. Highly recommend it. The finale is a heart-stopper. Literally.

Halfway through the film my wife (an immigrant herself) shouted, "That's why we need a wall!" <45>

Anyway, great film. Check it out, you nancy boys.

i saw the newest john wick in a theater and after he killed like 50 people i just kinda got tired

I saw the movie last night. Pretty depressing to be honest.

One thing that annoyed me was a blatant piece of misinformation in all the promotional materials:

Rambo doesn’t fight the cartel. At all.

The bad guys are a gang of sex traffickers. Low rent sex traffickers to boot. Their only involvement with drugs is the ones they give their victims to keep them under control.

Maybe they were trying to mask the fact that this film is basically a Taken ripoff.

lol that sounds very much like a taken ripoff Rambo actually shooting it out with a cartel like they had in the sicario films sounds better.

People raging about him killing Mexicans and stuff are snowflakes. But nothing happens in the movie till the last 10 minutes when a sloppy DTV-level montage of booby traps kicks in. This movie was fucking awful. Throw a dart at a post 2001 Steven Seagal resume and you'll hit a better quality movie.

Stallone's acting and characterization were on point. If nothing else, you won't get that from every mother fucker birthday.

There's nothing wrong with the story they were trying to tell but they just failed miserably at telling it
The acting, the dialogue, the attempt to make you care about these characters was horrible and boring and dumb and uninteresting and legit made me fall asleep for a couple minutes
And then finally after one hour and ten minutes of garbage they gave you some extreme violence at the end
This movie was Steven Seagal straight to Redbox level bad

I liked that they had no real excuse for the tunnels other than "He likes digging holes and is a little weird"

Less total violence, but he's an even angrier version of the Rambo 4 guy.

Yeah, it wasn't perfect but I quite enjoyed his performance. When he slams the knife into the table in front of that stupid chick that sold her friend out, it was like...holy shit Rambo is mad this time.

If you haven't seen Rambo IV definitely seek it out. I liked it a lot more than Last Blood. There's quite a bit more action in it and the last shootout is awesome.
