Rambo: Last Blood

Just got back from an advanced screening with my wife. Best action movie since the first John Wick. Highly recommend it. The finale is a heart-stopper. Literally.

Halfway through the film my wife (an immigrant herself) shouted, "That's why we need a wall!" <45>

Anyway, great film. Check it out, you nancy boys.
Hmmm....you married a woman that feels scenes from a Rambo movie is the reason to build a wall?.....she definitely fits in with other banjo playing Trump supporters.

This movie is such garbage, I'm stuck in the theater watching it right now and it's a miserable piece of shit

For those who saw it, I have a quick question that's been on my mind but I forgot to ask.

Edit: Spoiler tag isn't working so SPOILERS DOWN BELOW CAUTIOUS!!!!!!!

When Rambo infiltrates the Martinez brother's house and kills all the guards before decapitating him; does he smile after killing the last guard? I saw it and I could have sworn he grins after going slasher on them. Please tell me someone else noticed this

Yes, I noticed this too.

By the way, I'm as far away from a movie critic as can be. I only watch movies to be entertained, but my god, Rambo Last Blood was

AWESOME

Apparently the accredited movie critics, the ones that think they're instructing you to see a movie, or not see a movie, and what to think about the movies reguardless if you see them or not, are giving 'Rambo : Last Bood' the 2018 Deathwish treatment.

I'm a Rambo fan. But I left last blood thinking.....meh.

There is literally 2 fight scenes. It wasn't nonstop action like 4.

Either your gonna go the full on action hero route. Or the drama suspense route like in 1st blood. Don't try to mix the damn two.

Loved the quadrilogy, 4th one was magnificent. Had no issues with the concept for this new one, dug how open ended they left the ending and I admire Stallone for still being able to crank out action flicks.

That said, this movie is garbage. There are about 5 glorious minutes in it, the rest is embarrassing nonsense.

Action movies are dead.

Stupid cgi ruined what could have been decent..

CGI can be awesome when mixed with practical effect, look at Saving private Ryan for CGI properly used. This movie it was shite.

I enjoyed it. Very little dialogue. Dark story. Home Alone for action movie lovers.

A good friend told me this movie is shit and I will not watching it.

I loved it. Huge Rambo fan and it hit every note for me. I thought the story was good, kind of emotional at a couple parts and the action was great.

Saw it last night and this is my thoughts as well. Great action movie. Not as bloody as number 4 but in my opinion is more violent (very realistic type violence like beating someone to death with a hammer versus number 4 where is more cheesy violence like get on a .50 cal turret and mow down an entire army).

Also, all the sjw crying in msm reviews makes it extra delicious. I usually ignore when people say trump derangement syndrome but holy shit, the guardian and rolling stone went full TDS.
Yeah there all pissed because the movie doesn't depict mexico like the fancy private resorts the critics travel too.

There mad that the movie depicts inner city mexico as high crime, abusive/controlling men, fair amount of alcohol/gangs, and poor infrastructure....... (uh yeah no shit that's basically inner city mexico in a nutshell).

Yeah, but it was tough to imagine the last one being anything but a dumpster fire too.

I trust Sly.

He's earned that trust when it comes to Rocky and Rambo. He really cares about those two characters and not fucking them up.

When it comes to shit like Expendables and Escape Plan, I don't trust him any farther than Burgess Meredith could throw him.

To be fair, I think a lot of Mexican Rapists, Murderers and Sex Traffickers will be offended by this portrayal.

He wasn’t nuts in mad max, it was that movie and the events of it that drove him nuts in the following films.

So Yes, and No at the same time.

But there are those that speculated that this “Max” is actually the feral kid, and not the “original” max

I'd be down for Tom Hardy being the feral kid. Would open the door to bring back this aged fusion of Mad Max and Lord Humungus...

Would actually be cool if Hardy breaks out the old boomerang...

Only way they would like it that I can see is if the white frat boys rape another frat boy, that way no woman gets raped, but the frat boys also have to state explicitly that what they are doing is about power and not sex, thereby clarifying the nature of sexual violence and also not having gay villains.

Rambo can show up to help, but there should be a woman who is better at what he does, and Rambo can't save anyone that isn't white and male and straight and cis.

Since he's on campus anyway, it would be a good opportunity for Rambo to catch at least a couple minutes of a 300 level lecture about intersectionality and oppression.
Don't forget the part where the woman defeats Rambo in hand-to-hand combat.
