i agreed dat rakic had grate performance that night but volkan won
Disagree. Thought he lost both of his close decisions. Either way those sort of close 2-1 decisions are based on a degree of luck and he got 1 and he lost 1. But both decisions also increased Volkans stock in my eyes(and I think in the eyes of most) given he was seen as overrated after DC and Smith fights. In the case of the former that's part of why most think he beat Reyes cause Reyes was favored and Volkan exceeded expectations. I don't think he'll be champ but there's not a large gap between him and the best in the world, he's right there talent wise. I just think Rakic and Jiri are going to be standing in his way and he'll lose at least against them(jurys out on Ankalaev who hasn't fought anyone yet rematched some guy outside the top 20 or something). Reyes might still be better hard to say right now we'll see how he bounces back. Volkan is one of many LHW's in the UFC and Bellator I'd favor over the current champ(he won't get the shot but I'd favor him).
He got thrown into the fight with DC too early cause there was no one else at LHW to give to DC at the time. There was too big a jump in competition there.
