Raúl rosas. What’s up with this guy?

He reminds me of that pretty boy

outside any opinion of the fight withdraw, i was never impressed with him. he right now is currently the #211 ranked batamweight in the world. he needs time to develop his pace, control, and work on better/more efficient takedowns. his cardio at 18 is complete dogshit. his striking is not even a worry to anyone standing with him, he should be in the regional promotions still. he has the making to be great. but he is being pushed way to early with the skillset that just isnt put together yet. his management and training squad should recognize this, they are failing him.

Song Yadong debuted in the UFC at 19 and looked way more promising from the jump. This kid is nowhere near his level.
Absolutely correct Yadong would have had massive hype after his first couple performances in the UFC if he had that shiny undefeated record instead by the time he debuted he'd already lost 4 or 5 fights.

Hush. You know what happened. Stop acting stupid . He will fight on the next available Card dummy
That was a bit rough.
But it's for TS's own good, I know, I know.
I hope he's thinking about what he's done right now. Oh yes I do.

Dana's Mexican hype job -- couldn't get him into the cage.

Yair and Moreno also didn't deliver, but at least made the walk.

Maybe they're gonna shift Rosas to Vegas Noche.

"Earache my eye"
"Mexican", the kid was born in the US, i do agree that he is UFC's hypejob tho.

This is Dana hype for Mexican fans.

Royval from Colorado that beat Moreno was throwing out his Mexican fighting heritage in the post fight. Ortega, Yair, Cejudo. You got Cruz taking spanish lessons to get more in touch with his Mexican roots -- yeah he said it. Got the PI ribbon cutting.

Even Sean O'Malley directly stated his Mexican heritage by way of his child. Yup, he said it.

Anything you can relate to Mexico for hype from UFC 298 to Noche Vegas later this year -- is hype. Dana wants that market and he is open about it.

The issue is that he's extremely immature and his little experience against tough opponents. He's like Sage, except more well rounded.

IMO he'd be better off fighting lower competition outside of the UFC for another 2-3 years.

If he is like Sage, apart from being thrown in the UFC prematurely young, it is likely that they both have toxic fathers using their sons and putting their sons in harms way as a way of fulfilling some void in their life.

Rosas dad, if I recall correctly, arranged for Rosas Jr to roll with Aljo and then video taped it, with rosas basically trying to "get a win on the champ" in the gym while Aljo was just doing his workout and likely trying not to hurt the TEENAGER he was rolling with. That kind of garbage is the opposite of the appropriate spirit of training and indicative of someone (likely the father) with misguided narcissistic tendencies.

Sage is a very talented martial arts practitioner. He has very respectable kickboxing/Tae Kwon do (or whatever TMA serves as the basis of his striking) and pretty good takedowns and BJJ.

But he was a teenager/very young adult being put immense pressure and competing in violence with grown ass men.

In both cases, even though I can see the opportunity the exposure provides, I think the fighters are done a disservice by not being allowed to come up through the ranks and develop the attributes they need at the regional level against less dangerous competition.

So no fight booked?
