Raúl rosas. What’s up with this guy?

His parents were irresponsible for getting him into full time fighting from a young age.

The only excuse for it is if the kid has clear freak genetics, like knockout power or natural mauling ability on the ground.
Maybe he was the ultra aggressive kid in school because they called him names due to his ummm, differences. So they figured it would be an outlet for his pain.

Talent wise theres barely enough to judge if hes anything special, yet he gets the hot prospect treatment simply because hes young. Lmao thats literally all there is to him.

If he was 23-25 when he came into the UFC he would be barely noteworthy.

Nothing against him tho, wish him all the best

He’s no superstar in waiting like Erik Silva, but he could probably be as big as Roger Huerta at some point.
He'll never have the star power of El Matador. A large part of Roger's commercial success was based on his looks. This kid could be jn a Goonies remake though.

This kid isn't Paddy. He has legit athleticism and for his age good MMA skills. He COULD be great.

The issue is that he's extremely immature and his little experience against tough opponents. He's like Sage, except more well rounded.

IMO he'd be better off fighting lower competition outside of the UFC for another 2-3 years.

It was obvious last fight that he's used to steamroller and has zero back up plan if that doesn't work. He needs to learn how to fight over 3-5 rounds instead of going Phil Baroni in the first 2 minutes.

I mean he's so young so no one can count him out, we don't know the fighter he will become one day. It's possible on a timeline of the right moves he becomes the greatest fighter we've ever seen. So far we can't say much, he gets the job done for his age mostly, but to me he doesn't seem special yet. I think it depends where he trains and what skills he adds to his game, he's too unrefined which is expected at his age.

I know he can't help it, and even when he's rich he won't be able to because it'll drastically change him, but god his face kills me.

well

for every brian ortega the world has to balance out with one of him

Rosas doesn't have a Wiki page. I thought all UFC fighters were eligible for one. Is the roster so inflated that they tightened up the guidelines?

He is like 19. Normal to have problems at that age. Come to me when he is 26 and we have something to talk.
A lot of people just don’t like him. And haven’t since before DWCS. He was 17 years old when he did DWCS.

He got a little cocky. Saying he was going to be a triple belt winner. And that was definitely a turn off. But he was 18 when he said that stuff. And he’s lost since then. Hopefully his head has deflated a little bit.

Sounds like he had a serious case of the yips last Saturday.

But I’m still pretty neutral on the kid. He’s nothing spectacular right now. But imagine what he might be like by the time he turns 25 if he can keep his ego in check. And put in the work to get much better.

I’m too old to blame a kid for being a kid. But I don’t wish him any ill will. His family/team, etc needs to keep him in check.

I don't see how his last fight was an issue. He won by TKO in less than a minute. The guy who beat him is also no slouch. Potential weight cut issues aside, Rodriguez has looked great since dropping to 135.
