Question About Chute Box Sparring

Is it true that Chute Box has people spar punching each other barenuckled in the face as hard as they can? Or did they at least used to spar like this? How did they avoid constantly getting injuries such as broken noses, eye injuries, broken jaws, etc?

in most cases i saw open palms and slaps to the face. but knees punches and kicks to the body and legs were full on

They were frequently injured. i think Wandy took more damage in his sparring than all his fights combined.

they did not bareknuckle box, they wore gloves but went full on. one of the reasons why ninja's chin got destroyed.

They used full protection for the most part, at least gloves, moutguard, possibly skipping shin guards though, but went 100% the whole time.
