Okay, so my niece is a toddler, and my little brother was wanting to purchase another safety seat, but he was hoping to purchase one that is highly secure, obviously, but just as easy to move from car to car. The Graco ones he's bought might be fantastic, and their company might have the best engineers and all that, but it seems like they purposely make installing the things into the car as difficult as possible so that you get frustrated and just buy one for every car. They're already expensive as hell, so no.
I'm hoping there Sherdogger parents who have had experience with this. The BabyTrend Convertible Protect seat we tried was just a godawful design. The buckle-latches that anchor the seat on both sides are simply too long. Even tying knots in the belt it's nearly impossible to get the seat tight enough that the front end of the safety seat won't spin from left to right, and effectively it's just as difficult to put in and take out as the Graco's.
This one is the bestseller on Amazon in the "Convertible" section, which appears to be the class of all the seats he has purchased or is considering, but the price is unnervingly low. We're not after cheap.
Amazon product ASIN B006PB2B6OI dunno, maybe this is just a fantasy. I feel like we may be trying to defy the laws of physics. If the seat is going to be truly secure, then it's going to be an undertaking to install it securely. But I'm hoping I'm wrong.
Anyone experienced with this?
