Question About Car Down Payments

Carfax helps weed those vehicles out. Well worth the money. I got the cheap package where you could only look up 5 VINs but you basically had unlimited license plate searches so I'd go on craigslist and just start punching license plate numbers into Carfax and was surprised that a decent amount had their odometers rolled back.

I already said I don't plan on purchasing any vehicle until late April or early May.

There are dumbasses out there who will still roll back their miles after they took it to servicing. Car facts is somewhat of a facade. If somebody wants to, they can hide discrepancy that won’t be flagged on Car Facts. Car Facts just goes by what has been reported.
 
This is why banks are rich as fuck and so many folks are debt slaves.

Yeah, that's what concerned me when I bought my Corolla years ago. But the year and make were never recalled which is why the car still runs well and I have never had to take it in except for basic maintenance and when I had to get new tires. Most pre owned are pretty legit because people can do their research online to make sure they're not getting a lemon. My little bro's first car gave him all sorts of trouble. I forget what brand it was but it was so damn soft.

And yeah, there's nothing like the smell of a new car

I get that. Trust me I do. That's why I love my current car. Nothing beats those nothing a month car payments

Just want to see whats out there since I've been saving up my bread and getting a raise a few months ago. 350 car payment a month isn't exactly going to break me
 
Check the dealers for off lease certified vehicles. Many come with long warranties pretty much like a new car. Somebody else has already taken that $10K depreciation.
 
Just don't buy something that's going to leave you broke at the end of the month. People spend way too much on vehicles that they don't really need (usually poor people). I would buy slightly used unless your getting serious factory rebates, or with a family employee discount.

What kinda 2019 Tacoma with nothing down do you plan on getting for 350 a month? They're mid 30s to 40k now are they not ?

Oh yeah. I've seen it happen way too many times. A former co worker went and bought a brand new Dodge truck back in 2016 with a thousand dollars car note. He had just started a construction job and had no money saved up. Had to use credit cards to pay all his bills. Ended up declaring bankruptcy. He's doing better now. Got himself a real nice Accord with affordable payments which is why I was looking at some Hondas

If I can find a really nice affordable truck with low mileage, I might go that route. Like I said, I got a few months to contemplate.

I wasn't talking about a Tacoma. My co worker has a Tundra and pays almost 700 a month

A Buick that I bought with cash nearly 10 years ago.
When it dies I'll likely be buying another Buick since I'll be pretty much retired, and Buicks are what all the old people drive.

Never had a brand new whip. Every car I've had has been pre owned. That's not necessarily a bad thing and I might end up purchasing another pre owned after all things considered
