Quarantine weight gain (look upon my shame)

I'm so happy my gym is still open. I feel bad for y'all. I'd be in the same boat.

Im the same. When I gain weight, it doesnt distribute equally. All the fat goes straight to my stomach and I get skinnyfat.

I only eat twice a day, lunch and dinner, thats it.
I don't watch what I eat because Ive found if I don't give myself sugar or chocolate or something I like, I get really bad cravings.

For lunch I might have like half a sub, 2 cookies and a pepsi. For dinner I might have a steak and potatoes with water or something.

I don't eat huge meals and I don't restrict myself from eating sugar.

I don't workout, never really have, but I do walk to work.
Yeah. As long as you don't overeat you will not win weight. It's a simple matter of calories in vs calories out. I can get away with eating junk and not getting fat as long as it's not a lot of food.

Difference in eating clean is athletic performance, overall health and in my case mood. I'm much more energetic when I eat things my body can easily digest so that's the way I go.

For me, Ive never noticed any difference between eating clean and eating bad. I pretty much always feel the same. I never had digestive issues with eating certain foods either, its all the same for me whether I eat salad or 30 cookies.

Hang in there OP!!! All of these people posting quarantine weight loss are pissing me off. I dusted off the mountain bike, took it in for a tune-up. Started riding again. Rode it for 2 1/2 weeks then it had a flat next time I went to ride. Whatever. Started body weight workout week before biking, was going great for 4 weeks. Woke up with my back killing me and sciatic nerve inflamed along my right side. Been living in pain for two weeks. Chiropractor just re-opened, I go next week. I'm too old to power through this, don't feel like possibly making it worse.

Yeah. I think I started feeling it in my late 20s. IDK how old you are.

But is mostly due to physical activity. I can't go as hard or lift that much when I have not been eating and sleeping well.
In weights I think it must be around 10/15% of difference. When I do kickboxing well.. I get my ass kicked more than usual. LOL.

Also best food + doing sports + sleep 8 hours = more testosterone = better sex.

Now those are proper Corona gains.

Sorry but this is false.

If you’re comparing an occasional junk food cheat and not overdoing it (which sounds like your situation) then sure but over a duration of time? Hell no.

For example if you ate 1000 calories worth of cake or ice cream as opposed to hard boiled eggs for example it’s going to impact your body in more ways than just athletic performance, overall health and mood.

Why are you holding your balls in the first picture? Do you think you are Michael Jackson or something?

Honestly I have lost 5lbs since quarantine. Its funny cuz i went to gym 4 times a week with 30 to 35 min cardio. Wife and i have now been walking 1hr and its letting me lose more weight.

Plus i have been eating really healthy lately. (Last cpl months)

The heavier one was before they started working out. The buffer and fitter version is after. It is on twitter and buff guy was commenting.
lol I saw it shared as quarantine gains. Dude should have known you always put the "after" pic on the right!

In what more ways are you saying that it would impact? I'm pretty sure that performance, health and mood covers almost everything. I think I left out body composition but that is pretty obvious.

Legit question. Im curious.

Exactly what you left out. That’s kinda what this thread is about no?

Ive done it before . may again 12\6 is my doable range

You mean a 6-hour eating window, from 12 PM t 6 PM? So a 18/6 split?

If so, that's actually damn good. Especially if you're not doing IF at all right now.

If anything, it might be too good. I remember when I first started, it killed me to get to 16/8 and I only pushed beyond that after about 6 months. I've been doing it for about 7 years now and can easily do 20+ hours even with a workout thrown in towards the end.

So maybe ease back into 16/8, that way it's not a shock to your system and you don't quit after a few weeks.

I finally wasn't training 6 days a week and could heal some injuries, put on like 13lbs in that time.
Went back on the diet monday, down 3.
