What many westerners fail to realize is that the culture is very different. I remember when I was 17 and went to Koh Samui with my parents to visit a friend who lived there.

Our friend there hooked me up with a former MT champ who owned some bungalows there and he took me training and to MT matches. Anyhow, one night we was driving to a match, and I asked him about how he felt about all the girls prostituting themselves, and he just said "I dont mind, but I think they are a bit lazy". This is anectdotal of course, but it undermines that it's just not such a biggie as it is in the west.

There are the small amount that are forced into it, but the ones I have been introduced to via the GF/sister are all doing it by choice; I have yet to meet one that is forced into it... then again maybe they are just putting on a front and telling me otherwise.

Sure they could get a normal job, but the pay is shit and the hours are long. They can make 10x as much working bar as they would most other jobs available to them and then some of them even like working bar and fucking for money.

Most of the bar girls I have met have been very friendly and cleaner than most of the girls back home in the West. Not just because most bars require weekly/monthly tests, but personal hygiene of Thai girls are a lot better than Westerners.
