yeah ive figured. i have a few bar girl friends who are just that, friends.. and im very aware of there tricks, haha. there pretty clever but fun to hang out with. there is one bar girl i know who wants nothing more than to have no part in the buisness. i dont think she is much for multiple boyfirends. i think she is just waitin for some one to "save her." im wondering more about normal thai girls. i have a harder time figuring them out, there often quiet and shy but that doesnt always mean there good girls. is cheating just part of thai culture. i know jamaican culture decent. and cheating is just a way of life, there is no loyalty. i mean, im sure there are acceptions... but im talking in general

I'm pretty sure that it is just as prevelent in most cultures, it's just swept under the rug with a "bigger broom", so to speak. And, not to change the subject, because I am enjoying all these posts, but hey "steppingrazor", you were or are training in Pattaya, right? I despise holier-than-thou Dr. Phils like you. The western media tries makes a huge deal out of things like this but they never realize the diversity of the people around them, every culture, every individual is different when it comes to what is acceptable or not.

Like how Japanese culture doesn't necessarily frown upon men to have sexual relationships outside of their marriages so long as they don't "fall in love" whatever that means, despite the ambiguity of it, it's their culture.

Just like how filipino men are known to be promiscuous, and it's not a huge deal, it's even taken lightly by the people there. There ARE consequences for messing around on your wife(depending on your wife's personality) in this case though, like ending up dead or missing a body part....lol

From my experience, it is joked about alot, kind of seen as a walk on the wild side, but it isn't a huge deal if a fellow Thai man is into ladyboys, might just be his taste i suppose. I could be completely wrong though.

For example gays are treated much better here in the philippines than they are in the states, they are simply accepted as they are.

i think it has alot to do with the religions of the countries.

Dude, marriage means different things to different people. Just let it go. I don't think Payak was trying to brag or anything, he's just talking about his experiences to give us an idea of what the culture is like. Which is part of the purpose of this thread.

Both for the most part, there are always exceptions though...I would've been amused as hell too if i saw something like that.

There are alot of things americans do that amuse filipinos.. When americans try to speak Filipino, it just sounds funny, not in a bad way though. Alright people - is this thread about sex tourism or tips and tricks regarding training Muay Thai in Thailand?


A lot of the viewpoints and lifestyles aired here frankly disgust me, but I very much valued the insight and discussion about Thailand in a training context that seems to have all but died in the last four or so pages.


I'm not the ruler of this thread, but would people mind if we kept the whores, ladyboys and cheating out of this thread and focused on camps, training, accommodations, shopping, traveling etc. ?

Nah, this is Q&A on Thailand in general, if you're goin there to train you're more than likely gonna have to deal with the non-training issues that come with it as well. It's good to talk about the things to watch out for if you're going to a whole different country.

But i get what you're saying, maybe the crude language and references could be toned down a little bit though. Especially if we wanna keep this thread going.
