Southern Comfort (1981) - Louisiana National Guardsmen are deployed on a training patrol in the deep south backwoods. As soon as Poole was shot in the head the bayonets should have went on all of the rifles. The bayonets would have made short work of the hunting dogs. Guess what, a backwoods Cajun guy with one arm did not snipe your man at that distance. I was awaiting for one of the men to start dropping Casper jokes yet it was never capitalized on. The best part of the movie were its high grade score and music. It's a movie where the concept was better than the execution. "Civilian in peace. Soldier in war. I am the Guard." - 6.5/10
