That happened to me once. They finished the job earlier than, and they were saying "Oh, you know that you could go home", but I knew that if I clocked out, I wasn't getting paid. So I made sure to stay every second of that day, "just in case something comes in". I wasn't saying no to £18 per hour as a 20 year old, to sit around doing nothing.
