I still like the show but its not the same. He gets higher caliber guests now and it just seems so much less free

He has two main types of people for his audience IMO - people that are interested in conspiracies which he was really into when he first started and then the people who got into his podcast from the main stream who are also exposed to conspiracies from the other half of his audience and certain guests he has. He's been trying to balance both and it's not working out well for him. And a lot of that is his own fault, you can't keep everyone happy when you are a known shill.

I bet he wishes he could have kept it how it was his first 800. He go too influential and they came knocking to keep him in line. I have some sympy for him, though.

Even since WCW closed in 01, slowly over the years WWE has slowly become creatively complacent in particular the 2010's which felt phoned in creatively.
 
Rogan has had too many unfunny comedians, academic types and uninteresting people on his podcast.

I'll never forget how bad that Diamond Dallas Page podcast was. JRE Clips is way better than sitting through a full podcast.

This isn't even safe complacent booking, this is zero continuity ADD booking by people who I don't think have ever watched wrestling, with the occasional insanity of a dementia pateint living out his fantasies, and a spoiled brat dominatrix

For this era (2016-) I been going by PPV, sure I seen occasional TV matches/segments based on the collections on the network to get a general feel of the roster. So story-line wise, at best I read the recaps/youtube clips haven't seen a full episode of an modern RAW/SD since mid 09.
