I remember hearing somewhere that TNA were that desperate for him to come back, they tripled what WWE were offering. He came back, they reformed Beer Money, then Roode says "Nah, I'm off to NXT"

But, I always find it a little jarring, when you see these guys who were considered legends in TNA, spending time in NXT, or midcarding in tag teams. Like Eric Young, dude was a former TNA World Champion, did everything you could do in that company, and he's a tag team jobber. But then I remembered, better to be a tag team jobber on 6-figures, in front of 10,000 people, and actually getting paid, than it is to be the World Champion, in front of 800 people, and maybe having to wait a couple of months for your cheque

Yeah, it was something like it's one thing being on the road nearly 300 days a year, but if you get the call saying "One of the kids is being taken into hospital", you can be on a plane and home within 6 hours.
