Well, it was interesting.

Pity Poles have zero amateur wrestling tradition. There could be a Polish Fedor.

There’s a good judo tradition, Poland and Japan were close before WW2 for some weird reason. Nastula was fed to the lions in Pride because he embarrassed the Japanese at the Olympics.

After BJJ practice on Thursdays, I would hang out and watch my trainer who is a black and red belt BJJ from Bruno get tossed by a judo kid from the national team just to get to know that shit. But I don’t think the kid could handle any sort of proper ground work - then again he’s built like a fucking ox so he could just power out of anything.

And it’s a basement gym where Blachowicz trains and you can see my coach in the corner at KSW events.

Poles are coming up but there was never a sambo or amateur wrestling type tradition.

Only BJJ and MMA has started dudes training grappling outside of highly formalized judo.

Otherwise Poles have always liked boxing and fencing.

I’m trying to find out who the fuck I inherited a 100 year old fencing foil from - it’s somewhere from in the family. I’ll give it to the kid on his bday.

I hope he stabs you in the eye with it.
