How is he a knock off of Ric Flair? I haven't watched any of his in ring stuff since he left WWE. In that promo posted by CZ he didn't seem anything like Flair.

Most people would agree that his run on the indies was not what we hoped it would be. He didn't really understand how to best leverage what he brings to the table until he got involved with ROH and NJPW (neither of which are independent)

In his various feuds he's taken on the characteristics of various of Dusty's opponents. And as a whole he's playing himself as an elitist, as entitled to accolades and rewards beyond his accomplishments ... as in, the opposite of the humble everyman that Dusty was. The working man's lazy son. The American Dream turned into an American Nightmare.

No, it's not Shakespeare level writing or Daniel Day Lewis level acting, but it's definitely deeper than "Ric Flair knockoff"

I'm not sure if any of you are currently watching UFC, but I think Cowboy is done being a top 10 fighter now. He's definitely on the down turn of his career imo.
