There's still time for Nikki. Since they already showed that Naomi would get herself involved in Uce affairs if she thought her husband was in danger (like during the Bludgeon Bros. fued), they could have Sanity get the best of the Uce in their initial encounter, and then, during a second/third encounter, have Naomi attempt to interfere to save her Uce from a severe beat, only to be pummeled by Cross. Gives Nikki a few weeks to finish her business in NXT while letting Sanity establish themselves on the main roster.
