PWInsider has more notes on the end of the deal between Impact Wrestling, GFW and Jeff Jarrett. Impact announced the termination of their working agreement today, while Jarrett publicly stated that Anthem Media was out of money. Anthem denied that claim.

The GFW Amped! PPV series, which Impact had been running before the deal went south, will continue to air as scheduled. Impact had been running the show as a series of One Night Only events, with only one episode remaining. Impact Wrestling haven’t commented on the situation with Jarrett outside of the termination announcement and denying his recent claims. They said they will not comment going further. They also haven’t provided any details on Karen Jarrett’s status with the company.

– Jeff Jarrett had been scheduled to work for Canadian promotion RCW over the weekend in Edmonton and Calgary. He appeared on the Calgary show on Friday night and was supposed to work the RCW show on Saturday night as well but there was said to be an issue with him at the Friday show, which resulted in promoter Steven Ewaschuki apologizing to fans and announcing that Jarrett would no longer work the Saturday show. He wrote on Facebook: “RCW has the unfortunate news to report that Jeff Jarrett will be not appearing at tonight’s event in Edmonton due to reasons beyond the company’s control as Jeff Jarrett has boarded a plane and left the country on his own accord this morning. Jeff Jarrett did appear last night in Calgary at the RCW event but again has chosen to leave the country due to his own issues.

Wrestling Inc adds that Jarrett was said to be in no condition to perform when wrestling a 25-minute main event at the Friday night show. His performance was said to be so bad that people walked out before the match was over. This likely had something to do with him bailing before the Saturday night show.

– The decision by Impact to terminate Jarrett’s deal took place over the last several days, but the incident in Canada was said to have nothing to do with it.

It really is amazing that TNA is still somehow alive.
