NA/AA isn't about Jesus or religion. They want you to have a "higher power" and that can be anything bigger than you. I know a man in AA whose higher power is aliens, he has an alien head key chain and if you were to ask what his higher power is he will show you that key chain.

Are there going to be people thats higher power is religion? Yes, but it doesn't have to be. For instance my higher power isn't Jesus even though I'm Catholic, it's my wife and kids.
