The thing with this argument of them being insane though is that these same kind of "are you kidding me thats insane and weird" are what we used for gay people fifty years ago, is being trans going to be as accepted in fifty years as being gay is now? Maybe we will be looked back upon as bigots for our views, only time will tell. I want to let people do what they want and be who they want to be, but part of me thinks that something is not right here, so the thing I'll do is just leave it alone as long as it doesn't affect me and my family.

Thats where those people did a huge disservice to the argument. There is nothing wrong with gays. They dont gotta hack themselves up or take drugs or anything like that to exist and arent really insane at all for the most part

they shouldnt be seen as in the same group at all

There's a difference between being who you want to be and trying to convince the world your delusions are real...and unfortunately we've lost the common sense to tell the difference between the two. They way things are going, all the worst of the worst folks with dementia with be heralded for their heroism when they eat babies because they thought they were twinkies...because it takes courage to do what they do and stand up for who they really are!

This argument that leads to the idea that society will just eventually accept everyone for everything is not yet really founded, society as a whole is only really starting to get comfortable to the idea of trans people and most are still probably not. I think the line between a male wanting to undertake in the girl gender and its characteristics is one thing, a man wanting to cut his dick off and actually be a girl is another whole level, however we have not seen anything to indicate any tolerance for stuff beyond that.

The accept everything snowball is rolling faster and faster man...get ahead of it while you can or get run over. I hope I'm not alive to see it because it's one of the few things in life I'm certain is coming.

Up until even a few years ago I would have made an argument like batfish did but I kinda see it now. The gays got rights and that seemed ok but every other loon on the planet attached themselves to gay movement and all things are not created equal. some religions and sexualities and cultures are worse than others and some are outright harmful .I have seen that we are painting ourselves into a corner with the pc movement and you arent even allowed to say that anymore in public

The funny thing is, the whole accept everything and everybody only goes until you believe something they don't like, and then you're close minded/racist/sexist/biggot/etc.
