Finished the build to wm 13 on my new gen era journey, the german raw had the classic bulldog/owen European title match, following week the titantron set debut along with 'raw is war' theme. Go home show had that bret hart promo following the cage match against sid.

There was a slow build of bret snapping after getting screwed 3 times in title matches and royal rumble, eventually it led to this promo. Great storytelling and shows the benefit of slow build angles instead of hot-shotting and swerve bro that gets common in attitude era.

Hart/austin, ahmed/nation and hhh/goldust had the longest builds en route to wm 13, the rest of card filled out in the remaining 3 weeks.

Also, early raw 97 was truly transitional and experimental with ecw/aaa involvement and tinkering with the 2 hour format. By late 97, everything begins to click from what I saw post summerslam onwards.
