I'm at Jimmy John's
bork1}

I think I'll run out and get a sandwich then I have to come back home and do some work today. I haven't done any yet.

I just had a guy from a waterproofing company here. LTR had a playroom in my basement, which is otherwise unfinished. It got wrecked when a pipe broke. Before I re-did it, I wanted to get the basement waterproofed because we've gotten water (besides the pipe) a few times. I think instead of putting a carpet down in the play room again I'm going to do BJJ mats. That way he can play and do whatever he wants down there, and I can hone my killing skills. I probably won't cover the whole play room - maybe a 10X10 area.

You know something, I am genuinely concerned for Daniel Bryan.

I can honestly see him turning out like Randy 'The Ram' Robinson in The Wrestler, because he can't let it go. He's been told to stop by the company, the company's doctor, his wife, his family. Yet he won't have it.

I'm worried that even though he's been told to stop, he's going to keep going even after all the "Daniel Bryan" sheen has long gone, and he's landing on his head in front of 14 people in a flea market, and most of them saying "Wow, what happened to him?! He used to be great".

Did I miss something on SD? Did he take a bump or something?

If he was that bad he would have "retired" and showed up on the indies a month later like Bubba Ray.

It absolutely sucks that DB can't do what he loves and what he's so damn good at, but at this point ignoring what all of his doctors have apparently told him would be incredibly selfish, especially with a kid.

Not while WWE have him under contract.

... you think the Dudleys "retired" literally at the end of their contract ? Bubba got a release and then went back to the indies soon as the no-compete clause was up.

At worst, no-compete clauses are like 3 months.

I went to Hooters a week or so ago for the first time in a good 15 years or so. The food was surprisingly good. The waitresses were disappointing.
I went to the Hooters in San Francisco when it first opened and was shocked to see the waitresses wearing pants and jackets and shit
And then I was even more horrified to see that they only served shitty beer and wine, no liquor
I went next door and bought a bottle of Cazadores and snuck it in to drink out of Corona bottles but there was nothing I could do to erase the pain of the jacketed whores though
Never again

Living in a van down by the river?

....hanging from a van down by the river

I hate making a joke like that but his injuries aren't something to take lightly. I like Bryan and hope he is smart and stays retired but sadly it doesn't look that way.

They were only on a year long contract anyways, that retirement was their send off. D-Von did retire, he's working as an agent with the company.

But, Bryan couldn't have just retired, and then fucked off to the indies, they'll have him locked down until that contract ends.

One thing about that APW show, there were some hardcore stereotypical rasslin fan neckbeards there that would make this airport kid you guys are always obsessing over look like George Clooney
Im talking unwashed sweatpants wearing, grandmas basement living, SSI collecting mouth breathers with untied shoe strings and wearing t shirts that havent covered their whole belly in 5 years
Spooky stuff

I guess it's a matter of when he last renewed his contract and for how long, but it is possible to get out of them, if he was that desperate to wrestle. Could have gotten himself fired easily, etc, etc.

I'm just saying he's not some wrestling junkie who literally can't stop. He had options, and he didn't take them.

I'm on Dark Heart Island with Bryan at this point, he's been told for 3 years his head isn't well after suffering 20+ concussions that we know about, if a wife, a kid, an army of doctors, and a steady paycheck isn't enough to tell him that there are more important things than killing yourself for 500 neckbeards than I can't feel sorry for him if his destiny is to go out like Benoit.
