I think with all of the stories over the years, and most of them being corroborated by other witnesses, he's a massive douche. But he's sometimes funny as a commentator and was one half of APA, so he get's some slack. Even though Joey Styles would have been a better member apparently.

Future endeavored at the end of the last year from some shitty indy feds.

On November 12, Styles took part in Evolve's Evolve 72 event. Before the main event of the show, Styles made a joke involving Donald Trump and announcer Joanna Rose, stating Trump "would like to grab her by the..." (but never said the word). Evolve's booker, Gabe Sapolsky, immediately apologized for the comment before announcing that Evolve had terminated Styles. Two days later, Beyond Wrestling and Chikara also announced they were severing ties with Styles.

A lot of the dirt sheet writers clearly have an agenda against Jbl also. Mark Madden saying some of the Jbl stuff is worse than anything Scott Steiner did in WCW is ridiculous considering he was shoving pencils up people's asses. Jbl comes across as a dumb jock to me more than a malicious bully. You could spin some of the Owen Hart ribs everybody loves in a similar light.

Yeah and while Shane probably thinks that's hilarious there are lots of guys who might consider that as bullying. Jbl was likely looking to just joke with people in the same way and hoping they rib him back. Jbl is less likeable than X pac and Owen however so there's backlash.
