You'd have a hard time pointing at Mitsuharu Misawa or Kenta Kobashi's influences in the US, but Misawa is quite possibly the best ever and Kobashi is in the top 5 conversation. Hell, the Four Pillars of Heaven are renowned and they stuck to All Japan (And NOAH for Misawa I suppose).
