I started it out as a play on Chris Weidman "join the team". But when you break it all done, it's basically as soon as Reigns becomes heel, ALL those naysayers and haters who talk about how he lacks charisma, how he can't wrestle or how hes being shoved down our throats, will immediately do a 180. Because God forbid you actually like someone who isn't a heel these days.

Soon as Reigns becomes heel, the next guy who gets that treatment will no doubt be Big Cass.



Funny how Reigns last 3 years have mirrored this very episode.

First he was heel, being lukewarm to the people cheering him, much like how Will was lukewarm to his absent father wanting to hang out.

Then the Royal Rumble where the entire arena was cheering him and wanted him to win was like when Wills absent father was showing him his hoops skills, then for a few more months the fans were and Reigns were bosum buddies even wearing the same clothes and then when Will and his absent dad were ready to take their show on the road, his dad all of a sudden changed his mind and didn't want him anymore.

Much like when Roman got injured, which you can say he was packing his things together to go on this ride with the fans and then came down stairs only to find out that the fans changed their minds.

Reigns is the victim here.

That will likely be because Reigns wont be told to act like a dorky babyface anymore. Like it or not, we live in the post Austin/Rock era of cool more badass babyfaces. That door can't be closed now, people have seen it. So a traditional face like Reigns or especially Cena is seen as old hat and incredibly lame. What they should've done is book him to not be a dork. They can change things now and maybe that'd work - probably not, but I say that first impressions matter a lot. And this is the kinda crap they had Roman saying most weeks:



Other stuff:

Remember that "I can, I will" nonsense? People can't unhear that either. God damn that was lame.
There was the build to his match with Brock where he as the babyface did fuck all to get the fans on his side. Not one good promo from him, nothing. Top babyface - fuckin' please.

I could go on... but folks get the point. WWE (mostly) and Reigns fucked up royally, you can't pin the failures mentioned above on the fans.
 
Digged around a little, can't find any info on mascot being a trap.

Are you serious?

Half the shit the New Day were saying as heels were ten times more lame than any "suffering succotash" shit Reigns said ONCE.

I find it funny how people generalize one promo for ONE guy and yet let others get away with worse because "they're being buried".

And if you didn't think that sit down interview with Cole, then Heyman wasn't good....than, you have your mind already made up, have fun acting like anti-Cena fans that are still stuck in a 06 mindset.

Should be for that Enzo incident, you don't throw a guy into the ropes by clutching his neck and tights. He has no way to get his arms up to guide himself out.

I said stuff like that promo. That was obviously just the first one that came to mind. It wasn't just that one promo - again, remember all that "I can, I will" BS?

I don't let anyone get away with shit promos. If it is shit then it is shit.

The sit down with Heyman/Cole was carried 100% by Paul. Pretty much like that entire program. You would have to be incredibly biased not to see that.
