NXT didn't have a tag division when Ascension was a thing there. They literally had to bring in two 40-year-olds in Too Cool for the Ascension to get a match at a TakeOver.

Fair point. I did forget a lot of their earlier days. Actually only came back to NXT I think after the very earliest of their time there. I remember I saw a bit with their original lineup, then that one dude got fired and they switched ... I was real spotty on keeping up with NXT around then.

Damn, sucks for The Ascension. They dominated NXT tag division for a long time, whereas Enzo and Cass I think never even had the belts ... ? And now E + C (haha new E + C) are probably going to steamroll them on Smackdown in a throwaway match.

Oh well.

I liked the Ascension until they showed up on Raw with the makeup looking like a knock off Road Warriors, then immediately claiming they were better than them.

You know, sometimes it's real easy to forget perspective.

I bet Bray Wyatt is insanely popular with the fans in general. I remember being freaking shocked at the ppv I went to - Backlash 2006 lol - at how many damn people had on Carlito shirts. Just based on looking at the audience I would have guessed he was the single most popular wrestler in the company. But that's something you probably wouldn't be able to tell even scanning the audience on an HD signal since you're not seeing everyone and certainly not everyone clearly.
