Not only that, the element of credibility, the likes of Bryan, Punk, Zayn, Balor, Rollins, Ambrose, AJ Styles and others of their ilk, I have no problem believing that I could whoop their ass, I'm bigger than all of them, I don't get that aura of them actually being able to fight. You don't get that with Reigns

I know you're bigger than me Smigg but I'm not volunteering to jump into scrap with this anytime soon

Bryan or Zayn would get the Roman shoo-away if they tried to step to me though

Although really, if we look at the MMA realms of things many guys are pretty scrawny and look like they couldn't break a twig yet would whoop your ass pretty handily, like Nick Diaz, Anderson Silva, Mighty Mouse and the likes. Sure, the illusion of intimidation is good and all, but it is not the be all end all.

Beside, if that's the case then Chris Benoit, or Taz and some other small men who had shoot-style gimmick wouldn't be able to get over in the first place.

Austin had more moves than people gave him credit for.

Stunner
Lou Thesz Press
Second Rope Elbow
Running Elbow
Running Guillotene
Spinebuster
Mudhole Stomp
Stun Gun
Hang Man

That's not including the various punches, kicks, clotheslines, suplexes etc.

Austin was a very good wrestler before Bret Hart ('s brother) seriously injured him to his carelessness.

Austin's moves fit his character.

Just caught American Alpha's backstage interview with wwe.com after they won the titles. Man, gained so much respect for Jason Jordan seeing that. Real, raw, deep emotion. Helps getting that kind of perspective - being able to see how much of his character is, well, a character.

He also busted out an STF every now and then. My buddies and I called it the "Slithering STF". ... we smoked a lot of weed back then.

I still laugh during Austin's induction speech for Bret Hart.
"I'm sitting at home and I hear Vince McMahon say 'and in a submission match will be Bret hart vs Steve Austin' and it was the first I'd heard about it and it really pissed me off, I only got about 3 offensive moves and I'm not a submission wrestler."

are all nxt events like this? this is like 30 mins of recap

To bad his character is lame as hell.

And?

His character has been steadily improving imo. I just hope that WWE doesn't puss out and have him pandering Cena-style to the crowd in about a month.

He also had the Million Dollar Dream!

No, usually it's all wrestling. Did you watch Takeover Dallas?

i did. enjoyed it. was hoping for an hour or so of wrestling. not 30 mins of takeover recaps and post match interviews.

ugh this elias samson gimmick is nauseating lol.

Yeah, the post TakeOver shows are always the worst with the way they shoot them. Wait for when they go back to Full Sail and it will be back to normal.

Steadily improving≠Good

There much better characters on the show, he's near the bottom. Reminds me of one of those silent protagonists in video games where he just looks cool and everything happens around him.

To me that steady improvement has been from good to very good and quite entertaining.:)
