NXT Thoughts

- That one guy during the Elias Sampson/Johnny Gargano match saying "but he's got a family" during the post-match attack from Sampson made this episode.

- I’m pretty sure Finn Balor is a closeted homosexual.

- Good to see Balor using the Bloody Sunday as a finish again.

- I think the guy yelling during the Sampson/Gargano attack was also yelling “Bloody Sunday” way too enthusiastically. He might actually be retarded.

- The Nakamura/Zayn match is going to be fucking fun. NXT TakeOver: Dallas is going to be a really fun way to start the WrestleMania weekend.

- Alexa Bliss is the hottest women in the company and fuck anyone who says otherwise.

- The promo for American Alpha was really good. The whole “we’ve fallen short before” bit was a good turn to get me hoping they’ll win at NXT TakeOver: Dallas.

- Asuka might have my favourite theme song in the company.

- That ankle lock into the German suplex was a cool move.

- Good show, but seems like they’re now just trying to get through the long wait between TakeOver events.

- Can’t wait for the Dallas card though, should be a good night of wrestling.

I fully expect Takeover: Dallas to be better than Wrestlemania. As far as I am concerned, all of the Takeovers have been better shows than the main card PPVs that the shows have ran alongside and I expect this one to be no different.

I don't care about screaming fans, but am I the only one who sees something big in Elias Sampson? He looks like a main roster player, has pretty good psychology and a move set that is simple, but looks like it actually hurts. He hasn't been amazing so far but if I were management, I'd at least look at him as somebody with big potential.

I really like Finn Balor but I wish that he would start growing again. Bloody Sunday is a great finisher but Finn is just so short. Rich Swann was impressive, but again, undersized.

I'm really looking forward to Nakamura/Zayn, but I'm a bit worried about what will happen after. Aside from the few NJPW fans, I still don't see him translating well with the American audience without changing what made him great in the first place.

Samoa Joe was booked brilliantly. Simple, destructive, to the point. It seems that the men's NXT title has taken a back seat to the women's title though.

I'm getting annoyed with Emma. I'm glad that she has stuck it out after the disaster of a main roster run and she has improved, but it looks like she is either bored or overthinking her moves half the time, so she pulls off moves with zero emotion. It kills the heat in her matches. Asuka shouldn't be on the back foot for so long in any match and the match suffers when she is. I'd put her straight onto the main roster, give her the belt and a hell of a run. She has what most other divas lack, straight forward aggression and giving her a Lesnar-like push would be a great move for the women's division.
