@Based God I checked out Ballerina. It was a decent little flick. I could see me taking the fam out to see it during the matinee. I thought it was an 8/10 but I really like the John Wick universe, objectively it was probably a 7/10.

It accomplished some fun things. It expanded the John Wick universe and gave some more hints to how their whole underground world operates. It also tied into a lot of real life occult shenanigans where different groups will fight and have tension amongst themselves. I liked how they had the Kikimora as an overarching archetypical theme for the ballerinas that can be either good or bad depending on the person. It also was a classic occult battle(and true nature of our reality) of order vs chaos with the cult obviously being agents of chaos thrown into the ordered world of the other groups. You can see these two concepts done pretty well throughout the movie with the protagonist straddling both worlds. Like we talked about before you can just take it as a simple assassin action flick too and not give a hoot about these neat concepts they are attempting to recreate. I feel like that's not what the directors want, though. They've become more blatant with them as more movies have been put out. Really dope franchise.
