He was. He set NCAA records for completion percentage I believe and it was the best offense Saban ever had. It was just also a really stacked team. Even for Alabama. He had 2 NFL first round receivers and a 2nd rounder for his slot lol. Then he was handing off to Najee Harris. So he made all the throws but that offense just made it look easy so I can understand him not getting the credit.

He looked solid his rookie year so he showed he had some skills for the next level. I'm not surprised at all that Shanny can make him look good. He's exactly that Kirk Cousins type he loves. Nothing flashy, quick read, ball out, move the chains.

My view for the Georgia game that year has been my Lock Screen for 5 years now. Beautiful sunset over BDS with only 20-30,000 people in it while a game was going on. It was so eerie and oddly serene

It's impressive considering Belichick almost killed his career by having Patricia and Judge as co-OC's when they know fuck all about that side of the ball.
