Not really the WWE audience. Even when he was in NXT which has a very wrestler friendly fan base his connection wasnt great. His best connection with the fans was probably in AEW. Guy is very talented but never seemed to put it all together in the states. Also, seems to be his own worst enemy at times. Im a fan so wherever he ends up I'll always check him out but Im never really expecting much these days.

He was one of the last great stars from when I was still watching boxing regularly during the HBO/Showtime glory years, an amazing talent but also a wild rugged personality that made him easily marketable and very memorable, I even still remember his favorite soccer team, Man City, just because of how big a part of his on camera presentation that was

He came across as an old school tough guy character from an earlier era and that made him very interesting to regular folks just casually tuning into the Saturday night fights

So last week I posted that gorgeous American Gladiator girl and yesterday I see a poster for a bar wrestling show in downtown T-Town.

First of all, it really pissed me off cause in all my time there I never heard of a wrestling show anywhere close, much less in down town but then look who was right on the poster

Those early 24/7s were such a big part of marketing boxing. Some of the best sports specials ever made. I remember his and Mayweather's very well.




I don't remember much from their fight besides the soccer chants and atmosphere of the whole thing. Tremendous.

Let me hip to a lil sum'n, Roll, I never been, but even still, ole Pete will bet his whole entire sweet bippy that no matter where you are in the fine state of Alabama, there's finna some rasslin show close by

The 24/7's were so great and also that Legendary Nights series that HBO did, that company was the best boxing promoter ever in history and thats a shoot, they knew how to build stars, how to give you the full carny sales pitch to make it seem like an amazing spectacle that you just had to see and they had all the razzle dazzle needed to jazz up the broadcast production and make you look forward to those awesome Saturday nights of just setting on the couch staring at the ole boob tube

They just got that business, no doubt about it

Thinking about it, most of the promotions that still do put up posters and flyers out here, most of them do it in liquor stores and bars, maybe thats how you've managed to miss them all out there LoL

Lucha Libre shows also put a lot of posters in Mexican grocery stores and restaurants out here, again someplace you prolly dont spend a lotta time LoL

I bet your grandpa's hip to all the latest shows down at his favorite taco joint

If I had the pencil, then the boys would be on campus handing out flyers for the show that night and flexing for selfies while the women's match on the card was hanging out outside the science buildings doing the same! We're gonna sell some tickets, brother!

Beau still puts posters up for his super shows.
 
The sheets are reporting Andrade got released due to a disciplinary issue
