@RollSonnenRoll this is legit one of the greatest promos of all time, if you havent seen it, that crowd was so electric and full of love and admiration for The Funker as they said goodbye, its a really powerful scene

And then Terry would be back working Japan again less than a year later...

@My Spot Speaking of marks, its Thursday, dog, can you respect your own gimmicks and go find that fudging Week 2 map! 🤬

I said it before and I'll say it more times after this, no one ever in the history of this fine bidness ever was able to work the mic and stir up real true emotions in the crowd the way Terry Funk did, he was in a class all by himself and there will never be another, gulldang it, he was a master!

It wasnt even his first retirement show, either, that had been 14 years earlier in Japan LoL
He also "retired" after losing to Flair at the Nov 89 Clash.

Well, that was because of your boy Jim Herd, who you think was such a revolutionary marketing genius

Retired Terry Funk with the perm and the earring in his ear dressed in those late 80's fashion choices while doing interviews was not best for business LoL

I have. Supposedly he started a whole sub culture in Japan of cowboy shit. People were wearing Wranglers and Levis with boots cause of him. That's according to him though lol

I believe him, yo, ole Pete aint never gonna doubt anything The Funker says, he was just too dang good

Trying to figure out who everyone is in the last pic. Johnny Grunge, Eddie, Malenko, Kidman, Rocco Rock, Benoit, Al Snow, Shane Douglas, Women (I think?), Corny, Harvey Whippleman, Foley, Terry Taylor? Jericho all the way in the back.
