I saw a little. They had the Hulk Hogan vs. Paul Orndoff cage match. That was cool.

Speaking of Dave, I remember in the Observer from this time period, January '87, he took the time to break down and explain in detail how they used this newfandangled fancy pants replay technology to reverse the tape and accomplish the video illusion that Hogan and Orndorff touched the arena floor at the exact same moment

Its funny to read from today's modern perspective, where were so used to video being in full control of our whole lives

I dont think the NFL had even allowed replay yet in '87 so this was all very futuristic and scary LoL

Oof, the world musta been in rough shape in '02
No he probably was the best rassler in the business in 2000 and up until his quad injury in May 2001. Made people that that Taka Michinoku could beat him for the title on a random Smackdown.

APW King Of Indies was already happening here in the Bay Area, I'm surprised Dave was still sipping down that foul ass rancid WWE kool aid still in that era

2000 was really really good (although WM sucked for some reason). At least until Steph took over creative that fall.

Speaking of WM I don't think 22 gets enough love. Not only was it the last arena WM but it was in Chicago. It's surreal to see them all cheering for HHH and getting pissed when he lost clean. Mickie vs Trish is still the best womens match too.

Mickie vs Trish

It was a really good match elevated by the crowd cheering for the heel psycho stalker.

Mickie James is the rare unicorn that has somehow gotten hotter as she's aged, how many females can really you say that about

One, by my count...

Meanwhile Trish had a bunch of plastic surgery.

When did Dave start his 7 stars in the Tokyo Dome gimmick

71 year old Tatsumi Fujinami is wrestling the IWGP World Champ Zack Sabre Jr. in November in his Dradition Pro Wrestling promotion.

Fujinami still out here wrestling like 20 matches a year, meanwhile Wardlow looked at a wrestling ring and got injured again. <lmao>

All Japan from like 90-99, then New Japan from 2013 to now.
That was too specific of an example, I meant just in general whacking off to Japanese wrestling

He was also very high on All Japan Women's Pro Wrestling, which is a separate promotion from AJPW, in the 80's, calling it the best promotion and wrestlers in the world, at times
