I'm glad BTE is back Frank

Never look back no never say die
Always attack with the warrior cry
Never look back no never retreat
Never look back never say defeat
Strong will devour the weak
It's not a fight for the meak

More news from AAA last night. Pagano's sloppy ass put Octagon Jr. on the shelf. Pagano hit him with a top rope leg drop with full bodyweight landing right on Octagon Jr's head.

I dont too much give a hoot about Pagano one way or the other but is this one really his fault?
Octagon Jr moved right as Pagano leapt off the ropes and put himself in a bad position, I dont know that he deserves the heat here

Or maybe Octagon Jr was worried sloppy clown was gonna splash him wrong so he tried to counteract it loL

Looked like Pagano was coming directly towards his head to begin with. Seemed like Octagon Jr. panicked and tried to do something so maybe his entire head didn't get pancaked.

Man, did I love all those belts that JCP had when they first got the TBS timeslot, they had all the Carolina belts, all the Georgia belts and control of the main NWA belts, it was an awesome time to be a young belt mark just discovering all this stuff
And then my beloved NWA National belt just disappeared. Thanks, Obama Buddy Landel.

@RollSonnenRoll @My Spot this weeks 90's episode sounds like it might be pretty interesting, its right at the edge of the era I can tolerate LoL

  • The 1993 NWA Convention, featuring Dennis Coraluzzo wanting dates on the champion, Tod Gordon/ECW and Jim Cornette/SMW applying for membership, and forcing WCW's hand to remove the NWA name from the titles on their television shows.
  • Sid Vicious walks out on WCW over steroid testing…and then comes right back without having to take a test.
  • The newsletter panic over Dustin Rhodes possibly becoming not just WCW World Heavyweight Champion, but Unified WCW World Heavyweight Champion.
  • Shane Douglas becoming a part-time wrestler and full-time teacher.
  • Ted DiBiase becoming a world tag team champion in his first match back in AJPW.
  • New Japan going to battle with Leon White over the Big Van Vader name.
  • "Mr. Danger" Mitsuhiro Matsunaga making his FMW debut.
  • The Torch running a special feature that goes in-depth on Tod Gordon and ECW.
  • “WWA President” Dennis Coralluzzo showing up on SMW TV.
  • McMemphis running wild in the USWA.
  • The aftermath of SummerSlam, including how WWF framed Lex Luger as the true winner.
Yeah this is one of those periods that make the Big Gold the GOAT belt for how interesting its history is.
NWA finds out that Flair is dropping the belt to Rude at Fall Brawl and want the result changed because they know Rude isn't a mark so he's not gonna work indy shows outside of WCW.
Ole tells them to fuck off so they take WCW to court.
They think they're the pope of Chili Town until Ole busts out a bill of sale from the NWA president (Sakaguchi) selling the Big Gold to Bill Watts a year earlier.
WCW keeps the belt but can no longer use the NWA name or lineage. So it's the "Big Gold" then the "World Heavyweight Championship" then the "WCW International World Heavyweight Championship."

@Pittie Petey Also the NWA lawyer was on Wrestling Classics years ago and claimed that Sakaguchi sold it to WCW without consulting the board first.

Trips was in his Alexander Hammerstone era right there, no doubt about it
This was just a couple of months after he returned from his torn quad. Even Dave said he was the best wrestler in the world before that injury but he returned in 02 and had gotten way too big.
