This is what Tatum said a couple of years ago:

On working with Eddie Gilbert while and after losing Missy Hyatt to him:
“To keep it simple, i loved Eddie Gilbert. I loved his daddy Tommy and his brother Doug. I won’t bore you with the whole set up because it would take some time. But, Eddie came to me one day and he said, “I like Missy Hyatt. And, we’re going to have a relationship.” I said, “Ok.” And, we went about our business. But, he came to me as a man. And, he was a man. He was a man just like his daddy Tommy Sr. and Doug. Eddie was great. Maybe a little small. His muscles weren’t very big. But, his ringmanship, he was truly great.”

<mma4>

And then they ended up in Memphis, where Jerry Lawler and Bill Dundee would be working a tag team angle with Missy in the locker room while Eddie was working in the ring

Ole Tatum got the best of that one, I guess

@RollSonnenRoll @Based God Now this is a good frickin' trailer, pulled me all the way in with its tense scenes and that rousing speech but didnt appear to spoil anything, I have no dang idea at all what the plot is, is it aliens, is it Russia!?

I wanna see this movie now just to support trailers not telling you every gulldang minute detail of the whole frickin' gimmick

Very intriguing. She makes great movies and does suspense masterfully. The bomb disarming scenes in Hurt Locker had me on the edge of my seat. While I do suspect it seems to be about nuclear warfare, that lines in the trailer about "earth" specifically were interesting. What if it's an alien swerve, Broooo?! Probably not but I'm looking forward to finding out

Yea, thats what got me curious, the scenes look like a straight up nuclear war storyline but the speech makes it seem like there may be a few extra layers on this delicious onion, which is why I like this trailer a whole lot

They did just enough but not too much

Dont give it all to me on the first night, tease me, tantalize me, have me howling for more!

@RollSonnenRoll I did some reading on young Bonnie & her paramour last night, I can see why they became the national obsession that they did

Those photographs that they took of themselves, posing with guns and liquor, would of been quite sensationalistic when they were splashed all over the front pages of 1930's newspapers

America had just been through the Roaring 20's but these were real photos taken by the criminals themselves, a lurid peak into their scandalous lives, wouldve been quite the hot conversation piece at the time

Speaking of sensationalistic photos, Facebook AI sent me this recreation of me that they made this morning

I gotta be honest, this AI shit is getting scary out of control cause I legit feel like theres two of me in this 100% spot on mirror image

Almost impossible to tell which one is the real one imo

Even in 2025, America would be captivated by a glamorous female criminal so I can't imagine then. It might not look it now but in a world of farm girls wearing burlap sacks that's basically an instagram model posing about robbing banks.

<lmao>fucking Dave

I'm glad Taz said no to that airing on TV. I don't think an induction into the 2300 Arena Hall of Fame needs to be on TBS. Nick Gage was also inducted this year for fuck's sake.

Yeah I'm definitely intrigued to see what this is all about. Looks like there has to be a swerve in there somewhere.

If I'm remembering right, she was pissed about those pics. They didn't send them to the newspapers, the police found the roll of pics in a hideout they abandoned and published them. She told a hostage later "Tell 'em I don't smoke no damn cigars!"

That was highly unladylike. The bank robbing and Browning Automatic Rifle, no problem, but she was drawing the line there!

<lol> Tony Khan did an angry run after Kenny Omega got stretchered out last night and now the internet is meme'ing on him extra hard.

I watched that Taz 2300 Arena segment on Youtube last week and it was a good pierce of business, I dont even like Taz or ECW but it was still a good watch

In his speech, Taz says "This aint the first time I been swerved in this building", is there like some big famous moment that he's referring to or is he just talking about Paul E. in general?

I heard all the Paul E. stuff on shoots so I figure he was just talking in general but I was curious if there was some big internet notorious shoot swerve moment that happened between him and Heyman at that arena

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is Taz's manager Bill Alfonso turned on him to join Sabu and RVD in that arena on the first ever ECW pay per view Barely Legal in 1997.
