I watched a prettay good neo-western last night, its called The Highwaymen and it stars Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson as a couple rusty dusty old Texas lawmen tasked with hunting down and killing the notorious outlaw duo of Bonnie & Clyde

Theres really no need to review it any further than that, its exactly what you expect it to be from that description so if that sounds good to you then you'll enjoy this old timey gangsters vs cowboys in suits, shootout filled road adventure set in 1930's America

Lots of beautiful scenery, Texas plantations and Louisiana swamp land, and plenty of cool old cars

5.9 Thumbs Up Outta 7

Is Cody's podcast any good?
He has Brother Brucie on there this time, that could be a good conversation if they go deep into the history and the backstage nuts and bolts of it all
Bruce is full of shit but he's still a good storyteller and knows to paint a picture of the reasons behind the situation, which is all I ask for

Streameast was my go to for secondary games to broadcast on my PC screen while my tv had the main game during the college football season but last week it wasnt working right and now we know why

This is dumb and I do not care for it one bit

Love this movie. It feels like a true western throwback. The law is the good guys, the outlaws are the bad guys. No grey area. Sent me down a Bonnie and Clyde rabbit hole for weeks

Thats funny cause I am super piqued about Bonnie & Clyde right now after watching it too
I heard of them obviously but the movie portraying them as being famous teen idols has me curious how true that was, also the brutal way they were slaughtered and then paraded around as trophies was crazy, it was a simpler time

I really enjoyed the one with KO. They’re such good friends that it was just two dudes hanging out and sharing stories while they had some Wheatley Vodka drinks. Can’t say I’ve gotten into any others though. Cody is such a great conversationalist and story teller though that I can imagine they’re at least pretty good

I’m not a big fan of Last Podcast on the Left but they’re Bonnie and Clyde series was a great overall history of them.

I don’t know if you’d like them or not.

I've heard of them but I really only listen to news style podcasts, I dont wanna spend 6 hours listening to some assholes getting sidetracked and trying to get their shit in instead of focusing on the story and the facts at hand

I rather just go to Wikipedia or wherever and read about everything, that way I can focus on the parts of the story that are interesting to me and take the side trips I wanna take into the other places that might pop up along the way

For instance, I am really curious to learn about that Kathy Bates governor chick, was quite surprised to see Texas had a woman in charge way back then, she musta been one tough ass ruthless broad

@RollSonnenRoll @My Spot we talked about this awhile ago but Brian Solomon's book about Gorilla Monsoon is about to release in a few weeks and it looks like Corny had him on to talk about it, I'll prolly give this a shot too because Solomon is legit, his book about the Original Sheik Of Araby was amazingly well researched and a great read about so much history of this fine bidness

You’ll see why when you read up about it lol

AEW All Out just got moved to 3PM Eastern Noon Pacific because of that random ass WWE PLE WrestlePalooza that WWE threw out there to counter program.

It's funny that WWE is trying to fuck with AEW, but these earlier start times for AEW PPVs are just making me happy as a fan. Now I'll have my entire late afternoon and evening to enjoy. WWE is becoming the unwitting babyface from doing heel shit<lmao>

WWE has always loved their tweeners!

This commercial is already on every break for the season. It’s always jarring when you see a the size of a football player next to a normal human and he’s even long retired. Beast Mode was tailor-made for Our Business

It'll be back, like probably tomorrow lol.

And even if they aren't back by this weekend there's still like 15 others on Sportsurge.

@My Spot Have you ever seen any comments from Missy Hyatt about whether the love triangle between her, John Tatum and Eddie Gilbert was a storyline first that then became a shoot or if it was a real life thing first and Bill Watts decide to book it onto his television program

Watching '86 UWF has me curious about that

Dang it, Missy was one hot tamale back then, no doubt about it

This is what Tatum said a couple of years ago:

On working with Eddie Gilbert while and after losing Missy Hyatt to him:
“To keep it simple, i loved Eddie Gilbert. I loved his daddy Tommy and his brother Doug. I won’t bore you with the whole set up because it would take some time. But, Eddie came to me one day and he said, “I like Missy Hyatt. And, we’re going to have a relationship.” I said, “Ok.” And, we went about our business. But, he came to me as a man. And, he was a man. He was a man just like his daddy Tommy Sr. and Doug. Eddie was great. Maybe a little small. His muscles weren’t very big. But, his ringmanship, he was truly great.”
