I didn’t really know them but they opened for Ghost when I saw them. Evidently they all were friends cause they seemed to be a staple of their US tours. I enjoyed them. They had a groove to them that reminded me a lot of CFH-era Pantera.

That’s awful though. It’s scary out there on the roads. Nobody is fucking paying attention and red lights seem to be optional these days

I love Mastodon, have seen them several times. That blows, obviously because he died, but also he just had a major split from the band a few months ago and left it, sounded like he had a lot of animosity when he left. That has to blow for the rest of the guys in the band, not getting to settle all that and mend a several decades long friendship before he died.

Yeah I seen a couple weeks ago he was talking shit about Brann and Troy. Sucks if they never got to patch things up
 
Me and Roxie came across a dead Pokeman on our walk this morning, not sure exactly what to make of this scene but I think maybe the MCU and the Pokemans are at war...

I just posted a thread in Mayberry, taken out by a BMW SUV failing to yield. Sad as fuck considering the drama between the band.
 
@RollSonnenRoll @My Spot I been listening to these Cornette videos about the Jack Pfefer Collection at Notre Dame(RIP Lil Sebastian), this one was prettay dang interesting imo

We always hear of Sam Muchnick as the wise old well respected president and power player of the NWA so its wild to hear him being called just another sleazebag promoter by his contemporaries LoL

It's a carny business


 
Yeah there are levels of course but I've never bought into Muchnick being "one of the good ones."

I believe it, just cause I never heard one rassler on one shoot interview say one bad word about him and you know these bitter ole dirtbags love to blame everybody for everything, he's always talked about as being honest in his payoffs which is obviously the only thing that anyone is gonna care about at the end of the day


Sure, all these guys were crooks to a certain extent, they were con men operating an illegal racket with the sole purpose of duping the paying customer into believing a lie and handing over all the dollars in their wallet on a regular basis so none of them are shining examples of virtue but in the grand scheme of things, Sam seems to be one of the honest liars

Yea, things like this happened more often than people realize, the long time San Francisco promoter, Roy Shire, did the same thing in the Los Angeles papers when his San Francisco business was dying and the LA promoters started creeping up North


Thats why its always funny to hear all the rose colored "back in my day" bullshit from the angry podcasters and mark ass old timey rasslers

Fans always knew it was fixed and suspicious but it was the stories and the illusion that kept packing them in

It's the exact same thing we do as fans to this day. "Yeah, yeah, all this is fake but that was real. He wasn't suppose to do/say that!"
