I was also a big Great Muta and Vampiro mark at the time too though, so that might've played a part in my love for the song.

Meltzer is way past his prime, no doubt about that, and he definitely deserves a lot of the criticism he gets today, but that is not what made Dave Meltzer's career
Dude was a legit reporter in a "closed off secret society" for over 30 years, its easy to look at the internet age and think it was always this way, with everybody spilling their guts about everything on Twitter and WWE making backstage documentaries on Netflix but the 70's, 80's and 90's were a much different time and young Dave rose to the top as a legit reporter of that era because he was great at his job

Yea, I love that Ken Burns Baseball documentary that starts back in the 1800's with all those old timey black and white photos and amazing stories from those early rough and tumble barnstorming days, if this one is anything like that it will definitely have me All In

The Wrestling Observer was absolutely the gold standard of wrestling reporting for a couple decades, theres a reason why every wrestling promoter secretly subscribed to it, including Vince Jr

Its too bad that all hes known for now is being the butt of the joke by a buncha mark ass podcasters that claim hes this and that and blah, blah, blah but each and every one of them also read his dirtsheet every dang week back in the 80's and 90's, whether they will admit it or not

It's easy to forget that he didn't OD right after that. He wasted away for an additional 7 years in a Howard Hughes-like isolation, rarely leaving his condo in Seattle. Truly one of the darkest addiction stories I've ever heard.

Thats how it gets. I barley left the house for years. Especially if you have income that allows you to isolate it can get real dark real quick. Its almost better to be an addict without money.
