Meltzer bringing the heat in this Hogan obit including the truth about the the "Hiro Matsuda broke my leg on the first day of training" nonsense, B Brian Blair, who was there in training at the same time, wrestled against Hogan in his first matches, and remained friends with Hogan til the day he died says it was just an accidental sprained ankle LoL

He also lays out a pretty good case for the "Vince Sr fired me over Rocky 3" story, which I never believed anyways, also being another Hogan tall tale because Hogan's booking before he left New York is the standard "going down the card and losing around the loop" booking that always happened when a top bad guy was finishing up in New York to head off to another territory so there was no reason to fire him suddenly since he was already on his way out


But then Dave also says Hogans theme song from 1984 to 1992 was called American Made, LoL, you were doing so good there for a minute...

@RollSonnenRoll we've talked before about how great Tuesday's Gone was used in Dazed And Confused but you no what other song was used perfectly, No More Mr Nice Guy by Alice Cooper

It is like Wizard Of Oz and DSOTM, the way they sync it up perfectly with Mitch Kramer getting accosted as he leaves his little league game, "I used to be such a sweet, sweet thing, til they got ahold of me", and then the lyrics play out as youre watching him get his cheeks paddled into bolivion, signifying the end of his childhood as he's now officially a member of the bad crowd

Also, could you imagine this kinda stuff going on today, little girls getting tossed in the back of trucks and smeared from head to toe with garbage at a school sponsored event

What a wonderful comfort movie for a time I never lived. Has got to be one of the best examples of a movie that captures a time period when it wasn’t made in that time period

Yea, Im born in '76, same year the film was set, and some of the characters and scenes remind me so much of my uncles and their friends when I was a wee tot, which is definitely one of the reasons why I love it so much

I can absolutely picture Wooderson and that asshole Clint out in my grandparents driveway with my uncle Michael and his two best friends, George & Roy, wrenching on their Indians and using the pack of smokes rolled up in their shirt sleeves to measure the height of their lowriders and make sure they were legal

I have no idea if that was real or an urban legend about the smokes but I remember them doing it all the time LoL

And teeny little ole Pete would be out there hanging out with them and thinking they was the coolest cats in the world

Ahh, sweet memories


Sounds like I'll be watching that movie again tonight

I havent washed any of this stuff yet so it may all fall apart after one wash but at this price, who cares, just buy more!

So, in conclusion, Amazon Essentials seems to be a solid choose for any of your "old man that has completely given up" clothing needs
