I think @sleepwalk said it well - I don't know Terry Bollea and I don't want to.

I know Hulk Hogan. Hulk gave me hope as a kid. I had a pretty messed up childhood. Mom on meth, poor, violence, abused, etc. But when I saw Hulk Hogan on TV none of that shit mattered. I was inspired. The good guys can and do win. Take your vitamins and say your prayers is something I still do to this day. I put down the bottle and picked up the weights again after not lifting for years. Hulk had a big part to play in me getting into lifting in the first place. He motivated thousands if not millions of kids like that. The good you do in this world just doesnt dissappear because of the bad.
Well said

El Business has changed forever

I love how Dirty Dom threw in the "Perros!" at the end, which is said in tribute to Perro Aguayo Jr, who was actually killed by Dom's dad in a match 10 years ago

Last night was the last AAA tv tapings under Promociones Antonio Pena before WWE takes full control(ugh):( :( and Alberto El Patron lost a Loser Leaves Town match even though he's now the hugest most popular star in the company, by far

I dont know if hes really leaving but he even made up with Latin Lover, who is still selling that garbage can chair shot injury from last month LoL

I'm sure most of you guys know this but some of you prolly dont, Hulk Hogan actually won the very first IWGP tournament by beating Antonio Inoki on June 2, 1983 in Tokyo

Inoki was booked to win the match but he was accidentally knocked out legit when Hogan clotheslined him off the ring apron to the floor below so they had no choice but to quickly call an audible and declare Hogan the champion by KO victory

Do you like CMLL? Is that going to be the go-to for real lucha now?

CMLL has been the better promotion for a long while now, its always been a much more traditional style Lucha Libre show with old school booking and storylines, relatively speaking, but AAA is better at promoting itself in the US and is fun and wild with its constant trainwreck ridiculousness and huge spectacle live events where something always goes wrong, it is much more carny as fuck, which is obviously why I appreciate so much

Yeah I get that impression. I feel like I know what’s going on in AAA at any given time and am somewhat familiar with their top stars. Probably mostly through you but it still feels very relevant in the wrestling scene today.

Meanwhile, I couldn’t tell you a thing about CMLL and what’s going on with them

We rag on Eric a lot and deservedly so but I’ve thought about him this week. The times I have listened to 83 weeks this year, he’s made a point to mention how Hulk was in the best place he’s been in years and he was exited to start a new chapter with him working together on different stuff. Despite being the carny workers that they both are, their friendship seemed genuine

Theres a UFC show happening right now on the ESPN, I know some of you people are into that kind of stuff so I would hate for you to miss it

Didnt AEW just do some shows with them?

Or were those only house shows, I guess

Grand Slam Mexico was in partnership with them.

That’s where Mistico had that awesome entrance and they’ve been trying to force the sign-song bullshit on us for it ever since!

One thing about corporate rasslin, they will jam some shit down your throat if it even gets the tiniest scootch of a pop

I watched some Jacob Fatu highlight the other day where he got into a fight in a parking lot and he was just shouting "Yadadimean!" over and over and over again which saddened me greatly

A cool little inside tribute to Mac Dre and the Bay Area is now just another WWE t shirt slogan that will be played out in 3 weeks

It's only really starting to hit now for me that Hogan is really gone. Seemed surreal initially. I was never his biggest fan - even as a kid - and he was a massive POS as a person and wrestler, but he is easily one of the all time greats (possibly the GOAT) in wrestling. Gonna be pretty insane when Vince kicks the bucket.

Yup, he did it multiple times to the crowd in his match last night
