Hope the Iron Sheik is not in heaven (or hell) waiting for Hulk. They are going to go at each other like Don Frye and Yoshihiro Takayama.

I was about to come in and message you the same thing. 6 hours in to the tribute show made before he died@Blunderbuss Lapsed Serendipity once again. They just started 94 Bash at The Beach and chronicling Hogan's departure and singing with WCW. When they started they said it was a bit melancholy because 10 years into the show this pretty much the last major Hogan show they are going to do. They've covered nearly everything else. They said they saved this one because it's the ultimate Hogan story and would be their tribute episode when the time came.
3 parts in and Jack made that call this morning. Unbelievable.
WCW 94 and 95 for me too. I was rewatching all the Saturday Nights from that time period a couple years ago and unlocked so many 6 year old memories. My brother was 11 years older than me and had a VCR in the 80s so I had a ton of old stuff. SNMEs, random maple leaf garden stuff... I was definitely a Hulkamaniac, but im surprised at how nonplussed I am by the news. I was wondering how I would feel about him and Vince when their time would come...My first memories of Hulk are those initial WCW days. Even though, I wasn't there for the Hulkamania run, once I got into wrestling in 94 or 95. I did what every wrestling fan did in those days. you start going to Blockbuster and working your way backward. So that run was still a huge part of my childhood. I regularly rented Wrestlemania 3,5,6 and 8. Not to mention any PPV from that period. I watched Mr. Nanny and Suburban Commando. So I was absolutely a Hulkamaniac doing the pose down in my living room to Real American alongside him.
Sounds like he went peacefully in his sleep.Chuck Mangione just died

lol I remember that scene. I also remember when him and Savage faced the entire Dungeon of Doom in that weird cage and Hogan tried to murder Kevin Sullivan by pushing him off the top as he held on for dear life. I am 90% sure I watched that live and it's a good chance that that's the first PPV I ever ordered.WCW 94 and 95 for me too. Bret will be a different story though.
Edit: on the locked memory bit, for years I had this memory of the dungeon of doom beating down hulk in a first person perspective. I tried watching wcw dungeon of doom highlight pieces to find it. I finally did a mr nanny rewatch a few years ago and it's in the opening scene. And it isn't the dungeon of doom but Brutus beefcake is dressed as the zodiac but this took place years before the zodiac was an on screen character. That has always been very odd to me
Fucking grim reaper out here collecting souls today like they are Pokemon.Chuck Mangione just died
