TNA actually tried to go after WWE head to head. Didnt end too well...

I like what they are now honestly. Great alterantive and partnering with WWE and for that stint with AEW was smart. Nothing wrong with being a Indy/mainstream hybrid.

@Pittie Petey BTS is 98 this week and worth listening to the WWF section at least with pilled up HBK on commentary.

Im not too interested in that but there is some interesting stuff in here, especially in the Lucha section and that ABC news story, plus they talk about APW in the indy section

  • Steve “Dr. Death” Williams vs. Quebecer Pierre and Scorpio vs. 8-Ball in Brawl for All.
  • Mrs. Yamaguchi-san getting saved by Val Venis.
  • Triple H compelling a "fan" to flash her breasts on Raw, causing Jerry Lawler to lose his mind…at a time when “puppies” was not yet in his vocabulary.
  • Akira Maeda's final match against a fellow Japanese wrestler in RINGS.
  • Vampiro quitting CMLL, claiming Dr. Wagner Jr. shot on him during an otherwise normal match.
  • IWRG debuting on ESPN 2 in Mexico, but not in the United States, despite the rumors and speculation at the time.
  • La Parka and Pierroth’s legendary mask match in Nuevo Laredo.
  • The first OCESA Ruleta de la Muerte show.
  • Big Dick Dudley starting a riot at an ECW show in Staten Island.
  • The Rock working a Memphis Power Pro show at the Mid-South Coliseum.
  • ABC World News Tonight looking at pro wrestling's ongoing popularity boom.
  • Jay Leno agreeing to work with WCW as WCW's celebrity presence gets larger and larger.
  • Arn Anderson cutting an amazing promo on Thunder as the Horsemen reunion angle really gets going.
  • Buff Bagwell returning to TV after his near-fatal neck injury and promptly turning back heel on Rick Steiner.
  • The nonsensical booking of Goldberg since winning the WCW World Heavyweight Title.
  • Ric Flair getting very candid with Bruce Mitchell in a radio interview.

Its barely July and it already feels like September football weather with these stupid fucking cold brisk windy overcast mornings

A guy in an old timey rasslin Facebook group posted this pic of himself and Bob Backlund and then posted this in the comments

"Bob is a good friend, I see him several times a week, if you really love this guy please show it in this post, I want to read your comments to him while he is still here, he lights up when we talk wrestling. Then there are days he doesn't remember much. Those days make me sad, So when I see him Friday, I want to show him, he is still very much loved. Thank you."

Not just WWE, the whole damn business.

Bunch of people who should be parking cars and collecting ticket stubs getting their money taken by actual grifters killed the business.

@My Spot Watching GCW on the stream, one week before Black Saturday, Ole is up in Baltimore at a GCW house show interviewing that are thanking him for bringing Georgia rasslin up north cause its so much better than Hulk Hogan, Andre the Madison Square Garden junk LoL

But then, right after that, they cut to a studio match of the Brisco Brothers as NWA Tag Champs which surprised me cause Ole had to know by then that they had sold their shares to Vince back in March, maybe I need to drag out Ole's book and see if he says anything specifically about this last show

I am damn proud to see that Big Match Bob abandoned Connecticut for the Mecca of America, Panama City Beach!
