The only thing I was wrong about, though I didn't outright say it, is I would have figured they'd milk the illusion that Truth was cut for a few more weeks or months.

Truth could have announced his retirement from professional wrestling.
Then a week later claimed he was broke.
Post pics of him on Instagram begging for money at an intersection.
Go on a hunger strike until he was resigned to the WWE.
Hold Little Jimmy for ransom.

So much wasted potential.

No one ever said he was cut. His contract was expiring soon and he was informed it wouldn't be renewed. He's been under contract for the last week the entire time this thing was going down.

His son who isn't in the business congratulated his dad on his new contract on his personal social media account. He must be in on the "work" too lol
