@Batjester member the huge nationwide scandal that surrounded 2 Live Crew back in the olden days, its wild to think about from a modern perspective, given the filth we're subjected to nonstop now days, but these guys were literally public enemy #1 back then, the face and voice of Satan himself that was sent to destroy America, just for making songs about sex between consenting adults

And being black while doing it

Ronald Reagan's America was a simpler time

It’s hilarious to me that just a few years before that heavy metal was the devil and subject to the same outrage. Despite being nothing but some tongue in cheek innuendo like Cherry Pie. Little did they know they were two years away from every 14 year old white kid in America saying “I find a good piece of pussy and go up in it so if you at a show in the front row, I’ma call you a bitch or a dirty ass hoe!” <lmao>

Seth Rogen and Olivia Wilde have been riding Bart, the local train system, all around the Bay Area today filming some new movie
Me and Roxie walked through the Bart station parking lot down the street from my house twice today, what if we make it in the movie!

And boy did they spruce up the ole train stations for the movie LoL, no shit, fentanyl or graffiti anywhere in sight!

It was the escalator at the Bart station at the Oakland Coliseum that almost murdered me, be careful Olivia!

You can go wild, though, Seth

RIP to a real one

Good lord Metallica touring with Gojira and Knocked Loose in Europe.

I'm another hour into Queen Of The Ring, this fucking movie goes on forever, and the second hour was better than the first, once they reached the 1950's era the costumes, hair and general style of the movie started to feel correct and the story started flowing better, also

There are some massive frickin whoppers being told in this one, though, Iron Claw only had someone's leg getting chopped off, this one has a certain lady rassler dying in the ring in the 1950's even though she actually only died a few years ago from old age!

I really like that they managed to include The Black Panther Jim Mitchell in the story

The guy playing Gorgeous George kinda reminds me of the guy playing Ric Flair in Iron Claw LoL

@RollSonnenRoll they managed to squeeze in "Best For Business" and "Bad times dont last but bad guys do" in the second hour

I really think there was a decently good movie in there but it needed to go through some serious chopping and cutting and polishing in the editing room, the person that self financed it apparently wanted to leave everything in there

I think we're at the big blowoff main event so I dont know how much I got left but I'm already over two hours in, that seems unnecessary

One of those as a wink and a nod to the audience would have been nice but all of that really does make it feel like asking AI for wrestling references lol

What was Corny's cameo?

He's in a few scenes as the NWA president or whatever, I dont think he's playing a real person, just a generic figurehead, he does introduce some guy as Vince McMahon that looks absolutely nothing like him, though

They actually have an actor in there that kinda resembles Vince Sr but he's playing Ohio promoter Al Haft instead

Oh, Mickie James is in there looking fine as fuck, boy!

1989 was when they got mainstream attention. GWB Sr's America.

The guy playing Gorgeous George kinda reminds me of the guy playing Ric Flair in Iron Claw LoL
Similar look, similar dialogue, or just gods fucking awful?
