His entire cloak of invisibility was destroyed in under 6 months and he was never the same. I always remember when Conor took his belt and he just sort of stood there. The fight was already over!

The meltdowns in the heavies after he mollywhopped Aldo was pretty funny, people were in there legit claiming that Conor katering him in one punch proves how much of a coward Conor really is cause he didnt have the grapefruits to match up against him skill for skill
 
@My Spot @RollSonnenRoll Theyre doing an awesome show in Stockton in two weeks but its not at the dirt track at the fairgrounds, its at the paved asphalt track where they used to run the old Nascar Featherlite South West regional circuit
Just checked on the Yelp and it looks like they got hard metal bleachers with no seat backs, what a bummer cause this is exactly what i been wanting to go to so I can hillbilly it up like a mofo

Watching Smackdown from February 2000 on the stream, Eddie Guerrero and the rest of his cronies just debuted and Mick Foley is doing a promo burying WCW

Surprised to see how tiny they all look compared to ole Cactus Jack Manson, who wasnt exactly a giant in the territories

I like the vibe of Dean Malenko, he very much looks like an old timey serious rassler from the territories as he stands there in his nice slacks and shirt, he just carries himself a certain way, which is understandable given who his dad is and how he came up


I know Guerrero and Benoit became World Champ but did Malenko and Saturn have good WWE runs, did they do anything of note?

No. Unless you count Moppy for Saturn and Malenko going to a date with Lita and getting the shit kicked out of him by the Hardys.

I always thought that about Malenko too. He just stood out to me and there was a presence about him. It’s funny looking back given what I know about his history now.

And second to PRIDE above. His highlight was a storyline with Lita where they briefly made his character this horn dog ladies man

All i remember about him in that era was a skit where a bunch of them were at a table and someone brains him with a frying pan. He faceplants on the table, then pops up with a random "You're welcome!" I laughed my ass off at it.

Malenko's run in WWF was really short. They gave him a weird James Bond gimmick and he became WWF Light Heavyweight champion a couple of times and then he retired like a year after signing with WWF and became an agent.

Saturn's run got hurt cause he shot on a jobber in a match, really beat the shit out of the guy, so Vince punished him with a gimmick where he carried around and talked to a mop that he named "Moppy". He only lasted like 2 years in the WWF before he was completely gone.

Horny Dean Malenko was more interesting than any iceman shit. Too bad he was old af and had a wonky neck to keep going, him and Godfather woulda made a great team.

We used to have a store called Wet Seal at me and @My Spot ‘s favorite mall and it was nothing but those same trashy stripper wear in the windows. Obviously the same for me cause I still remember the name of it <lmao>
