I member they built this huge futuristic building in San Francisco and it was supposed to be a digital entertainment palace full of all the cool stuff you see in movies set in Japan with a giant virtual reality arcade and a massive IMAX theater and all these cool neon robot gimmicks and gadgets from the year 2000!
We went there on opening weekend and it was kinda lame, the IMAX theater was showing some dumb cheap crappy CGI documentary about how to sustain a life colony in space
The virtual reality arcade was ok because it had Hyper Bowling and nachos with 3 different colored chips(from the future!) and weird brightly colored neon drinks like outta The Fifth Element or something but it failed so eventually they just put in regular video games and normal beers
All the science experiments and attractions were massively underwhelming
It failed

I didnt even know they were running The Bay this year, thats how out of it I am from this stuff, maybe I'll go check out a couple games although Im assuming theyre at the Chase Center so maybe I wont, that place and the surrounding Thrive City area is insanely expensive

Before I saw the pic I was about to ask you about Metreon. It was supposed to be a chain and basically a Playstation version of Dave and Buster's. All the game magazines in the late 90s wouldn't STFU about it.

My entire childhood was watching TV shows and movies where skinny whites girls would ask if these jeans made their butt look big like their butt looking big would be a bad thing.
