PWD PWD 1202: Deal with The Devil

Candace LeRae sure looks a lot different since the days when she was main eventing the Cow Palace with Cody and Joey Ryan

If I said it once, I said it at least 3 times or maybe even 12, Randy Orton just gets this business, everytime I see him he carries himself different than everyone else on the show, he understands how to work on a level that most these new guys just will never understands
His little subtle motions and less is more ring entrance is so reminiscent of the great heels from yesteryear and I love it, love everything about it!

So? Will the Cody thing be a pre-tape then? Or are they going to raise the chamber, give him his 15 minute aisle walk, and another 20 minutes of talking?

I tapped out once Logan Paul and CM Punk appeared on my television screen, someone please update me on what Cody's big decision tums out to be

@RollSonnenRoll Were you at this show? That's hard times running Gwinnett instead of Phillips Arena.

I was not. I did see Beniot at Backlash 07 though about 3 months before everything. The only time I got to see HBK live. Deadman Taker as well. It was at Phillips. I remember it was a pretty terrible crowd though. The Business was cold.

Did this gimmick used to have mini cages inside of it or has it always been those clear private lap dance boxes?
It's always been the plexigalss

The first one had metal grates on the outside though for the guys to bump on lol. Pretty sure they went to the padded surface quickly after that.

Timestamped

Goldberg kicking his way into Triple H's cage is still my favorite Elimination Chamber spot

Glad he made sure it was the gimmicked glass this time!

In the next two major PPV/PLE in this great business:

51 year old Adam "Edge" "Cope" Copeland is main eventing AEW Revolution for the AEW World Championship with 51 year old Christian looming after

47 year old hasn't been a full time wrestler for like 6-7 years John Cena is main eventing Wrestlemania for the WWE World Championship

Are younger wrestlers just not that guy or is nostalgia just that strong?

Little of both, mixed with some cause and effect.

Nostalgia sells and always will, but when they constantly rely on these guys, it hurts product in the long run by taking up spots and time for younger talent to try and get over.

In WWE's case, when you get bought for $5 billion, you stick to wha you know is gonna work.

In AEW's case, who's you gonna put in the main event? Daniel Garcia?!

It was him vs. Adam Cole in the main event of tonight's episode of Collision and that was enough to make me not watch the show, even though I'm reading most of the rest of the show was really good.

Garcia vs. Cole in the main event for a title was enough to give me a big ol "I'm good".

Adam Copeland and potentially Christian in the main World title scene might have me giving a big ol "I'm good" on the whole company soon.
