They were great on PS1 back in the late 90s and I doubt the remakes kept the soundtrack because of licensing.

Spyro was always fun. Something really satisfying about the mechanics of it. The running, gliding, fire breathing.

Also there's a certain charm to the PS1 graphics but maybe that's nostalgia talking.

Thats exactly why I didnt buy the Crash remasters and kept scrolling til I saw Spyro, I like to wander around and explore and go at my own pace, Crash locks you into a path and its go, go, go!
