There was the story that in the mid 90s, Vince called Sid in and basically offered him the world. He said "Sid, I want to give you Hogan's boots. You're gonna get the keys to the kingdom. Top babyface, main event push, the whole company is going to be revolving around you!"

Sid replied with "Ehhh, I dunno Vince. I think you need a big vicious heel".

Vince is saying to him "Sid, I need a top babyface more than anything right now. I want you as the guy!"

Sid replied "Nah, I wanna be a heel."

Yeah, don't think the guy did himself any favours and to be honest, he came across as being dumb as a box of frogs......that said he had one of the best looks ever, and there was 2-3 times in his career where he was over like rover.
